A couple from Donegal were under a real love spell in New York this time last year, and the video of their engagement has just gone viral.

Michael Brennan from Glenties arranged a surprise proposal to Aoife Mc Ginley from Annagry last December, all with the help of magician Gary Ferrar.

The couple were enjoying Christmas in New York and were on the way to the Plaza Hotel for tea before being stopped by the magician in Grand Central Station.

A clever card trick turned out to reveal the big question on the back of the Queen of Hearts.

You could say Aoife was spellbound, while Micheal looks more than relieved!
