Celebrity chef Gary O’Hanlon from Ramelton and his fellow culinary leaders are calling out for Donegal diners to sample the cooking of a secret pool of celebrities in the upcoming series of The Restaurant on TV3.
The much loved cast of The Restaurant; Maitre’D John Healy and culinary whizzes Stephen McAllister, Gary O’Hanlon and Louise Lennox are looking for brave diners from all over the country for the third series of the celebrity contest.
This year, The Restaurant returns to its stunning home – Marco Pierre White Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook Dublin, with the world class chef himself joining the critics table once more alongside resident critic Tom Doorley and a guest critic each week.
The Restaurant will see six celebrities become head chefs over six weeks. They will be whisked off to Marco Pierre White Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook, where they will attempt to produce a top-class, three-course menu of their own liking. The menu will then be judged by the critics table where a possible five star rating will be up for grabs.
During service, the celebrities will get instant feedback in the kitchen to their menu from remote cameras and microphones covering the dining room. The identity of the celebrities will remain a secret to the diners and the critics until service is over, at which point the celebrity will step out of the kitchen and face the critics in front of the diners.
Previous celebrities who took part in The Restaurant include Irish rugby star Andrew Trimble, former Minister for Justice Alan Shatter, model Roz Purcell, Mrs Brown’s Boys star Rory Cowan and model turned beauty blogger Pippa O’Connor.
The brand new series of The Restaurant will go into production this January and will air on TV3 in early 2017. Diners can apply now to be part of The Restaurant experience, by logging onto www.tv3.ie/takepart. The closing date for applications is midnight on Tuesday the 27th of December
