The first social event of the Donegal Women in Business Network signaled an exciting year for new alliances.
A wealth of new friends and connections were made last night at the first social gathering of the Donegal Women in Business Network in the Station House Hotel in Letterkenny. There was a brilliant energy in the room as many women shared their stories – revealing their experiences, inspirations and motivation to succeed in business.
A common theme from the event was the shared support that all women had for each other as they faced the challenges of business together – big and small.
The Donegal Women in Business Network is led by a voluntary committee who all pull together to unite every woman in Donegal and speak with a united voice. The key address was given by the new President, Deirdre McGlone, Harvey’s Point Donegal, Donegal Person of The Year 2016. Deirdre had some inspiring words for all women in the room, telling them they all have the “glamour, power and passion to succeed”.
The members’ passion to connect and collaborate with each other made for an exciting atmosphere at the Station House Hotel in Letterkenny. There was a refreshing diversity of women from all over the northwest with different backgrounds, expertise and stories. The network also welcomed a (very) young male member!
The number of women present and the active engagement that followed on social media showed that 2017 is going to be a big year for women in business. The team here at DonegalWoman.ie are eager highlight all their achievements.
