Mayor James Pat McDaid popped the question to his girlfriend – and she said yes!

Theresa Canning from Glenswilly happily accepted the Mayor’s proposal this weekend.

Mayor McDaid took over from Gerry McGonagle in June 2016 as the Mayor of the Letterkenny Municipal District.

A busy man, Mayor McDaid is also a keen footballer and captained the Glenswilly senior GAA team.
