A Letterkenny salon is hosting a special fundraiser in aid of the BUMBLEance service for sick children.
Xperia Hair & Beauty in Glencar Letterkenny are holding a fundraising weekend on Friday 10th – Saturday 11th February in memory of a brave Donegal boy.
Little Órán Nibbs (7) from Trentagh sadly lost his battle with mitochondrial disease on January 20th. He was the son of Aisling (nee Mitchell) and Colm Nibbs, both from Sligo but living in Letterkenny.
A spokesperson from Xperia Hair & Beauty said: “We are raising money for the amazing Bumbleance children ambulance service as a thank you for their fantastic care and support to this brave little sunshine Órán and his incredible family.”
On this weekend 50% of all hair and makeup appointments at Xperia Hair & Beauty will be donated to the Bumbleance Charity and all donations will be welcome in the salon.
BUMBLEance is Ireland’s national and the world’s first interactive ambulance service designed specifically for sick children to make their journeys for treatment the most safe and comfortable possible.
As well as all the necessary medical equipment, the BUMBLEance is also a fun environment for sick children with games and entertainment consoles for the journeys.
Órán was fondly remembered by the team of BUMBLEance Children’s Ambulance Service, who called him their King Bee. Órán made his ‘Angel Trip’ with Bumbleance back to Donegal on January 20th before he was laid to rest at home.
Staff at the Xperia salon would appreciate all support for this worthwhile cause.
