Gweedore woman Fiona Nic Fionnlaoich stars in a thrilling video feature to show she is strong and ready to take on The Race Donegal 2017.

The agile Dental Hygienist is a member of Rosses AC and is no stranger to fitness challenges.

This is her first attempt at The Race, which is a gruelling 24 hour ultimate endurance test over 250km.

On March 11th, Fiona and her fellow competitors will be pushed to the absolute limit as they take on 15km of kayaking, 166km of cycling, 5km of mountain running and 64km of road and trail running. They must do all of this in 24 hours across rugged landscapes from Gartan to Glenveigh National Park.

This dramatic video shows that Fiona is ready and excited for the challenge. She has been training three times a day and is aiming to get her mind in focus for the race in two weeks’ time.
