"Not so bad, she turned up"
Wedding photos have taken on many new avenues in the past few years. We’ve had Donegal’s own Selfie Priest Fr Pat Ward, as well as newlyweds saying ‘I doe’ and marking the moment with Snapchat filters.
Now, one Irish wedding has brought wedding selfies right to the heart of the day. Last Saturday in Carrick on Shannon, groom Glenn Mc Brien decided to snap the moment his love was walking down the aisle and share it on Snapchat.
He expressed his relief that she had arrived with a quick caption and laughter emojis.
His bride-to-be, Catherine Ball, was none-the-wiser that Glenn was busy taking selfies before one of the most important moments of their lives.
We’re not sure what the priest would be thinking of mobile phones at the altar! However, the couple were happily married and celebrated with family and friends later in a Carrick on Shannon hotel.
Glenn was caught in the act by Finbarr O’Donoghue Photography, who said the couple were ‘full of the good owl “Irish Craic”‘.
