Primark have issued an urgent product recall after discovering a potential danger in a children's clothing item.
A pair of girl’s leggings have been found to present a possible choking hazard. The store has urged parents to return all purchases of Novelty Cat Leggings which were on sale in UK stores between November 2016 and February 2017.
It was found that the bow attached to the leggings could become detached and pose a serious choking hazard.
A spokesperson said: “Through our on-going due-diligence programme it has come to our attention that the Novelty Cat Legging detailed above does not meet the Primark usual high standards for safety.
“We have found a potential issue with the security of the bow attachment within the product that may become detached and present a potential choking hazard. With the safety of our customers at the forefront of our minds we are inviting you to return this item for a full refund.
“The product was on sale in our UK stores from 8th November 2016 up to the 22nd February 2017.”
Customers who purchased the leggings are asked to return them to any Primark stores where they will be offered a full refund. You will not be required to provide proof of purchase.
