Look Good Feel Better Ireland are hosting a Volunteer Information Evening in Donegal for anyone in the beauty industry who wants to take part.
The charity project held a hugely successful campaign to call on makeup artists, beauticians and massage therapists in Donegal to donate just a few hours a year to give special masterclasses.
The Look Good Feel Better programme is a volunteering opportunity for people in the beauty industry and a chance for women to get support to deal with the visible side effects of cancer treatment.
Volunteers host pamper workshops to improve the wellbeing and self-confidence of women undergoing treatment for any type of cancer.
In fun and informative classes, women are helped to discover the many ways they can take control of their appearance as they battle cancer.
AnnMarie Carolan and Nikki Doherty are the two Donegal Volunteers currently hosting classes at Scally Place in Letterkenny. For two hours every month they meet 12 brave women who are battling cancer. Here, Nikki shared her experience with Donegal Woman.
Anyone who is interested in hosting the classes can find out what is involved at the information meeting at the Silver Tassie Hotel in Letterkenny on Tuesday 25th April from 6pm-7.30pm. Click here to see the Facebook event page.
