Glaswegian girl and Irish county music star Lisa McHugh was forced to cancel a concert after two of her band members were seriously injured in a car accident.
The singer, who’s mother is from Falcarragh, Donegal, made the sad announcement yesterday after the band members were hospitalised following a two-vehicle collision in Clogher, Tyrone.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning when the crew were travelling home from a show in Dundalk. Drummer Simon Sheeran and guitarist Daniel Martin were brought to Craigavon Area Hospital for emergency treatment after the black Mercedes they were travelling in collided with an Audi A4.
Lisa shared her relief with fans that the men are expected to make a recovery. “Thankfully both of them will make a full recovery given time to heal,” Lisa wrote in a Facebook post.
The singer apologised to fans who had tickets for the Tipperary show on Sunday night but promised to return at a later date.
PSNI have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward if they have information about the collision.
