The biggest interior design trends of 2017

Bring Bold into your home! Gone is beige! 2017 brings rich colour and varied patterns into our homes.

Colours:

Rich jewel tones bring a mix of romance and Bohemian, emerald greens, deep blues and teal.  Softer colours will be added to the mix such as peach, lavender and blush pink.

Materials:

In contrast to perfect finishes and hi-gloss, 2017 brings exposed brickwork, cement burnished metals, Copper and bold gold. Agate and marble will be used as accents throughout the home, while plants and botanical motifs will continue to be a big trend well into 2018. Wood will continue to be widely used, counterbalanced by materials like marble, cork and clay.

Fabric & Pattern

Last year saw a resurgence of vintage decor.  In 2017 we are now experiencing a more sophisticated and luxurious look by using plush deep velvets, tweeds and tartans.

Patterned ceramic tiles and geometric & textured wallpaper are key elements of this year’s trends.

Accessorising with plants brings life into a room, retro plants, palm trees and rubber plants are huge!
