The North West Yoga Festival will give everyone the chance to practice poses among fresh natural surroundings of the Isle of Doagh this June.
The North West Yoga Festival is a celebration of yoga in Donegal, Derry and the North West of Ireland. It will be a gathering of teachers and students for an afternoon of all styles of yoga in the beautiful Isle of Doagh on Sunday 11th June 2017.
This is a charity event and money raised through public admissions will go to the designated charities for 2017 – Action for Hope and Lightitupgold Childhood Cancer Foundation.
The Isle of Doagh Famine Village either gives yogis the option to practice on a stunning beach or near the sand dunes. If the weather isn’t in your favour, the lessons will move indoors to the main hall of the Doagh Famine Village or a marquee.
Just think- sun salutations to the setting sun with the serene sounds of waves all around… breathing in fresh sea air as you sprawl out in a Savasana on the sand!
The event was founded by yoga teachers Aisling Friel and Odel Mac Monagle – two vibrant women with a passion for yoga, health and wellness. This is the second year of the festival in Donegal.
There is going to be a dedicated Tir na nOg area for kids to practice yoga and get their first introduction to mind-body wellness and positivity. Parents and older siblings are welcome to join in with the fun yoga sessions too.
This family friendly day will surely be the start of a great summer in the beautiful surrounds of Inishowen. Visit https://www.facebook.com/Northwestyogafestival/ to learn about all the teachers visitors will meet on the day, as well as an exclusive peek at the stalls and entertainment you’ll find.
