Karen Murray is inviting you to relive the best experience of your youth by attending the Second Chance Prom on the 26th of July at McGettigan's Hotel in Letterkenny.
Guests will be treated to a champagne reception, a delicious buffet and a DJ will be playing tunes until late in the evening.
Karen says that she was touched by the diligence of the staff at Letterkenny University Hospital, and would like to give back by raising money for much needed equipment in the maternity and neonatal unit of the hospital.
“Six years ago we faced the hardest time of our life when we had to say goodbye to our little girl before we even got the chance to say hello to her.
“We were touched with the care and compassion shown to us by the staff in the maternity unit of Letterkenny University Hospital and this is how S.M.U.R.F came about. S.M.U.R.F stands for Sarah’s Maternity Unit Remembrance Fundraising.
“I originally planned to do a sponsored walk alone to thank the maternity unit staff, but the support I received from my family and friends was overwhelming and our fundraising began.
“To date we have raised over €8,500 and my target is €10,000. This will be used to buy much needed equipment for the maternity and neonatal unit of Letterkenny University Hospital.
“For personal reasons I haven’t fundraised for a while but I feel the time is now right to conclude our fundraising and we are hoping that our Second Chance Prom will be a success. ”
Door open at 8pm on the night, with special guest, Derry singer-songwriter Johnny Kohlmeyer joining the festivities.
