A team of eight Donegal women have supported two local funds after completing a gruelling cycling challenge.

Team Annagry Lassies took part in the Donegal Atlantic Way Ultra Race in June of this year and are seeing the benefits of their tremendous 555km success again today.

The Sharkey’s Bar Stool-wheelers members raised money for the Dungloe Hospital and Aras Gweedore patient comfort funds.

In total they gathered a grand sum of €1300 and have donated €650 to each fund.

“We were delighted to be able to hand over €650 each to these funds today. Big thanks to everyone that sponsored us or helped in any way.”
