An unusual flavour of chocolate will be stocked in Lidl next week.

Gin and Tonic flavour chocolate by Kerry confectioners Skelligs will be hitting the shelves in Lidl on Monday – but you better nab them quickly as they’re only there while stocks last.

Skelligs’ description of the bar has left us drooling as if we weren’t already sold on the idea of combining our favourite snack with our favourite tipple.

“The fresh lively flavours of this sophisticated tipple are recreated by adding crushed juniper berries and lime zest to our rich dark chocolate. Perfectly acceptable at any time of day. Bottoms Up!”

Paired with Pink Gin, which hit shelves in Donegal last week, it may just be the ultimate combo for the sweet toothed gin drinkers among us.

Skelligs have several other interesting chocolate recipes, such as rose and pistachio, lime zest and black pepper, and chilli and pink peppercorn.
