Pello Hairdressing are celebrating their 10th year in business with a special event for Breast Cancer North West.

Pello, Donegal’s premier exclusive Aveda salon, is holding an open birthday and launch event at their new premises in Letterkenny Shopping Centre, with all money raised going towards Breast Cancer Awareness.

Pello invite guests to come along, have their pink ribbon pinned on in support of Pinktober and Breast Cancer Awareness and enjoy pretty pink treats and moments of mindfulness on Saturday 7th of October from 1pm – 5pm.

Pello owners Patrick Gray and Tina McBride have been welcoming guests to their salon for ten years and wanted to mark the occasion not only by celebrating their success with Pello, but by thanking the guests who have made it possible while giving back to the community and a worthwhile cause.

Three euro from each special edition Aveda Pink Ribbon handcream sold on the day will be donated to support cruelty free research, there will be Pello pink treats, amazing spot prizes, a blow dry bar and an Aveda masterclass. Plus there will be lots of wonderful goodies, mini events and opportunities to donate to an incredible cause.

Pello’s new brand ambassador, Irish surfer Easkey Britton, will also be attending the birthday bash. All of the festivities will be happening in their thriving new Letterkenny Shopping Centre location.

Money raised during the event will be donated to Breast Cancer North-West research, as well as community care programmes focused on recovery. The event aims to honour those affected by the disease and create a positive space to celebrate and give back.

Tina and Patrick have said they are so grateful for the support of their guests during the growth of their business in Letterkenny since 2007.

This weekend’s event all fits perfectly with the uplifting, quality holistic approach that Tina and Patrick have cultivated in Pello. Pello is one of only 33 Aveda salons in Ireland, and the exclusive Donegal Aveda Salon, Patrick has been on the hairdressing scene for over 35 years and has a wealth of experience in cutting and colouring.

He said: “Our Philosophy has always been that each guest that comes through our doors leaves feeling pampered, revitalised and beautiful. Feeling not only good about themselves and their hair, but also their environment.

Tina said: “Breast Cancer Awareness is a cause close to us, and one that Aveda champion too which is incredible, so we felt it only fitting to dedicate our birthday celebrations to breast cancer awareness, with events and donations on the day all focused around raising money for the charity, and the cruelty free research.”

This Saturday, guests can also meet the multi award winning Irish surfer Easkey Britton, who is officially the new ambassador for Pello Hairdressing in Letterkenny. The five-times Irish surf champion has been travelling over 45 minutes from her home town in Rossnowlagh for over four years to get her hair styled in Pello.

Easkey said she is delighted with teaming up with this prestigious salon: “I’m excited to be an ambassador for Pello because they are passionate about taking care of people and planet. This completely aligns with my own values.
