Little Hours' new EP Too Much Patience secured the number one spot on the iTunes chart.
Little Hours surpassed Liam Gallagher’s As You Were, Ed Sheeran’s Divide, Picture This’ self-titled album, and Now That’s What I Call Music 97!
Earlier this week, vocalist John Doherty told Donegal Daily that the reaction to the EP has been incredible.
“We’re extremely proud of all the songs on there,” he said. “It’s a bit surreal to see it in the shops and see it rising up the charts!”
Claiming the number one spot is a historical moment as this is the first time since Daniel O’Donnell’s last smash hit that a Donegal artist has secured the top spot.
Killybegs man John shared the fantastic news on Facebook yesterday, saying “Lads we did it! Absolutely delighted to reach Number One on the iTunes album chart this week! To everyone who downloaded or picked up a copy, THANK YOU! Couldn’t have done it without you! There is so much more to come!”
The EP contains gems Later On, How Could I Love You?, Call Somebody, Losing Light, and Water.
Little Hours are now gearing up to perform at Letterkenny’s An Grianan Theatre on the 19th of October.
The new EP remains in the top five today after being overtaken by Kodaline’s I Wouldn’t Be.
