We can't wait for this soundtrack!
Superstar singer Beyonce has been confirmed in a leading role in the live-action remake of The Lion King.
Queen Bey will lead the pack as Queen Nala, naturally.
The announcement was made by Disney yesterday, unveiling an all-star cast for the highly-anticipated remake. If they’re going to do it right they need a quality cast, and there is certainly a lot of talent here:

Chiwetel Ejiofor will play the evil Scar. James Earl Jones, who played Mufasa in the 1994 original will reprise the legendary role for the new edition.
The lively role of Pumbaa will be taken on by comic Seth Rogan, alongside Billy Eichner as Timon. British comedian John Oliver has also been cast as Zazu.
“It is a director’s dream to assemble a talented team like this to bring this classic story to life,” said Director Jon Favreau, who has also directed Disney’s “The Jungle Book” live-action remake.
