A 'revolutionary' Donegal trio are tuning up to take part in the Late Late Toy Show!
Made up of Siofra Mauerhofer, Aoife Breslin and Ellen Mc Groary, the Donegal Town-based band Revolutionary have been playing gigs for the past three years after being put together at a school talent show.
The Abbey Vocational School students have previously taken part in Opportunity Knocks, The Voice of Donegal, and Beo Ireland!
“We applied by sending in a video of us singing and then received an email to say that we secured an audition. We then had to travel to Galway to audition and about two weeks later we received an email saying that we were going to be on the show!” the band told Donegal Woman.
The talented trio performs a mixture of covers and original songs, adapting their performance to the venue and the audience.
The girls have to keep their performance details for the Late Late Toy Show under wraps until the big night on the first of December, but they have revealed that they have been kept very busy practicing and perfecting their routine!
“We are all delighted with the news, it’s just the childhood dream really!”
The Donegal musicians get inspiration for different harmonies from groups such as Little Mix, while adding their own unique flair to their setlists.
Their favourite thing about being in a band is that they are all best friends and they enjoy practicing together, and learning/writing new songs.
Be sure to tune into the Late Late Toy Show to watch Revolutionary’s performance on December 1st on RTÉ One at 9:35pm.
