The IHI Founder Banquet & Hospitality Management Awards 2017 celebrated three members of the dream team at Lough Eske Castle last night.
Staff at Lough Eske Castle, a Solis Hotel & Spa have won three prestigious awards at the Irish Hospitality Institute (IHI) Awards 2017.
The five star hotel outside Donegal Town are celebrating notable achievements of three remarkable leaders:
Spa Manager Denise McDonagh won “Young Hospitality Manager of the Year 2017”, Director of Human Resources Catherine Monaghan won “Hospitality Human Resources & Training Manager of the Year 2017” and last but not least; Front of House Supervisor Geraldine Carty won “IHI Hospitality Employee of the Year Award 2017.”
Additionally, Lough Eske Castle was shortlisted for four awards out of eleven in total, with Karen Dowey (Revenue Manager) also being nominated as Revenue Manager of the Year 2017.
It has been an exhilarating year for the hotel with having been named No.3 in the top hotels in Ireland by Condé Nast Traveler’s 2017 Readers’ Choice Award earlier this year.

The IHI Awards 2017, hosted the glamorous black tie gala dinner and ceremony event, which was held on Thursday, 23rd November at the Clayton Hotel, Ballsbridge, co-hosted by Matthias Muller, President of the IHI.
