Two Letterkenny women have teamed up to organise a Valentine’s Ball in February 2018 in aid of Pieta House.
Aine Boyle and Saoirse Faughnan have planned a glamorous event for all local people to show the love for a vital mental health service.
Pieta House opened its first centre in the northwest this year, where free support services are provided for people who are suicidal, engage in self-harm or who are bereaved by suicide.
Aine and Saoirse are aiming to raise as much money as they can for the service next year, as well as raising awareness and breaking the stigma of mental health.
The Valentine’s Charity Ball will take place in McGettigan’s Hotel Letterkenny on February 10th. It promises to be a stylish occasion, with a champagne reception, a four-course banquet, music, guest speakers and fashion exhibits.
Aine tells Donegal Woman: “Saoirse and I often talk about the importance of friends, exercise and fresh air and the important role they play in one’s mental health.
“We both feel very passionately about Pieta House. Our goal is to spread as much awareness about the charity and also to generate as much money as possible for a worthy cause. The generosity of Donegal people has already been incredibly overwhelming,” she said.
Tickets for the Valentines Charity Ball are €50.00, available at online (click here) and at valentinescharityball2017@hotmail.com or by contacting Saoirse Faughnan on 086 100 2730
