Menary’s Letterkenny have launched the new LOLA Makeup by Persé range for the first time in Donegal.
A big beauty event was held on Thursday to celebrate the store becoming the county’s exclusive stockist, with special guests and makeup demos running throughout the afternoon.
LOLA brand manager Estrella Corral was instore to give makeovers and introduce the products. Fans of Britain’s Next Top Model may recognise Estrella, as she introduced LOLA for use in photoshoots on this year’s show.
What is LOLA? LOLA is a UK brand which was made for professional MUAs in Spain.
This is LOLA’s big year. Lee Pycroft, head of the makeup team with Britain’s Next Top Model, uses LOLA in her bag and it was selected as the professional make up partner of the series. The contestants last week had a matte lipstick shoot with LOLA, which featured Estrella.
We’ll be seeing much more of the brand in 2018 as we learned it has also partnered with E! News. Plus, the winner of BNTM will become the face of the brand next Spring.
What makes LOLA different? It’s the professional factor and cruelty-free principles that makes it stand out. Estrella told us how she loves to use the Picture Perfect foundation on all skin types and it agrees well with people who have allergies.
The colour elements of the range are said to be similar to Gucci and Bobbi Brown – at a lighter price tag. Product prices range from around €13 to €25 – with everything currently half price at Menarys Letterkenny.
What’s LOLA like? We tried out some of the key products – including the Picture Perfect foundation, the Matte Long Lasting Lipstick and the Universal Pressed Powder.
The foundation is a very natural finish and light/medium coverage. The powder is unique because it is colourless, and so it suits every skin colour and glides on unnoticeably – as setting powder should. There is a great range of fun colours, finishes and textures to choose from.
We say try the testers and see for yourself – and make sure to get the great 50% off discount!
