"I'm dreaming of a white Christmas..."

Donegal’s white Christmas arrived two weeks early when a dusting of snow settled over the county, making our already stunning landscape all the more extraordinary.

Photographer Proinsias Carr captured Errigal in a unique light as a blanket of snow covered the huge peak.

The video has been shared all around the world as we count down the days until Christmas.

Proinsias uploaded this video to his Facebook page, Proinsias Carr – Aerial Views Donegal, where he regularly shares breathtaking pictures and videos of Donegal’s sublime scenery.

Although we won’t be blessed with a white Christmas this year, a white early December certainly ushered us into the most wonderful time of the year with (jingle) bells on.
