The much-anticipated Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special will air on Christmas Night, promising more outlandish merriment from the famous family.
Fans of Mrs Brown’s Boys will be seeing all the familiar faces in the festive specials, and one very new face, as the Rory Brown replacement is revealed.
Actor Rory Cowan quit the show and live tours this year, leaving many fans wondering about his character.
In this week’s Christmas special, airing at 9pm on RTE1 and 10pm on BBC1, ‘Rory’ will be shrouded in bandaged after undergoing plastic surgery. There will be a big reveal of his new face, and producers are keeping tight-lipped about the actor’s identity ahead of the show.
Other antics in this episode include a one-of-a-kind Christmas tree, Cathy preparing for an internet date and Grandpa fretting about the house being haunted.
Mrs Browns’ Boys has many Donegal connections, as Danny O’Carroll, Brendan’s son, plays Buster and his real-life wife Amanda also stars among the cast. The family live in Donegal, and their son Jamie also plays Bono in the TV series.
Fans can get a second helping of the comedy on New Year’s Eve, when Agnes and Winnie take action to tackle a crimewave. Mrs Brown’s Boys CSI: Mammy, airs on December 31st at 9.35pm on RTÉ One and on New Year’s Day at 10pm on BBC1.
