Here's what's in store from episode two of the Northern Ireland comedy:

Dark January evenings aren’t so bad now that we’ve got Derry Girls to look forward to! Acclaimed writer Lisa McGee’s comedy is back on Channel 4 tonight – make sure to set your reminders for 10pm.

Last week’s premiere was a huge hit, generating a legion of fans and creating a collection of priceless one-liners. Who could forget Kamal, the wee Ethiopian fella from Ballybofey?

In episode two this week, everyone is really excited when Sister Michael announces the school trip to Paris. Back at the Quinn house Uncle Colm (Tyrone comedian Kevin McAleer) is visiting and the whole family are losing the will to live.

We’re going to be seeing more from Erin’s clan, as they deal with annoying phone calls, consider the future of cordless telephones and stress over a chippie order.

The mammies will get their due screentime tonight, as Erin’s mum Mary and aunt Sarah (Tara Lynne O’Neill and Kathy Kiera Clarke) take centre stage.

Erin’s dad and grandad (Tommy Tiernan and Ian McElhinney) are at it again as well, with Granda Joe delivering a chilling threat – ‘I’ll compromise you through that window’

Channel4 released some sneak peeks to get us ready for tonight’s antics:

Don’t be worrying that we’ll miss out on hilarious moments from Erin’s schoolfriends though! They’re back at school, with more teen troubles along with the nuns and ‘the wee English fella’.

We can’t wait for more insults from the snappy Michelle, (Jamie Lee O’Donnell)!
