Donegal people have their pick of places to go for a delightful afternoon tea party these days: from cute cafes to top-class hotels, there is a great variety of venues which offer indulgent afternoon teas.

The traditional meal has become a popular custom among local ladies (and gents) for special occasions and weekend treats. Tiers of dainty sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and bite-size desserts are served in picturesque displays, washed down by tea and/or bubbles.
