The popular Girls’ Day Out format is getting a fun twist at Donegal’s next big makeup, fashion and well-being event.
LOCO Media, established by Donegal woman April McManus, presents the LOCO Beauty Bash this February, and we have an exclusive competition for Donegal Woman readers to win free tickets! Check it out on Facebook here: www.facebook.com/dglwoman
The first ever Beauty Bash takes place in Jackson’s Hotel Ballybofey on Sunday, February 18th from 4pm. It’s going to be a lively and fun afternoon for local women to get together with friends, enjoy some bubbly and pick up the best tips for looking and feeling good.
The three guests taking to the stage are MUA Toni Kelly, stylist Emma Murray and body-confidence blogger Leslie Magee.
You can get your tickets now at www.eventbrite.ie/e/loco-beauty-bash-tickets-40941087896
One of the biggest talking points about the event is the Open Chair Challenge. The competition will put aspiring makeup artists head to head to showcase their skills in a bid to win their own MUA kit. Anyone starting up a makeup career will know how hard it is to built a kit, so this contest is going to be an exciting chance to fast-track your journey to becoming a pro.
The Open Chair Challenge is calling on amateur makeup artists to apply to take part. Send a message to the LOCO team here on Facebook to enter: www.facebook.com/locomediaevents
The prize of a kit with top brand products and a one to one makeup lesson with Brenda Doherty will be ideal for anyone looking to perfect their skills even further. The competition itself is going to be an entertaining one for all guests at the event.
Organiser April McManus shared a sneak peek at the LOCO line-up with Donegal Woman:
“Toni Kelly is our guest makeup artist on the day teaching us different makeup looks and all her professional tips and tricks on achieving and keeping a flawless makeup look.
“Emma Murray aka The Fashion Chair will be on hand to show us how to dress for the months ahead, style tips on making the same outfit versatile without breaking the bank, and how to dress for your body shape to look and feel your best.
“Body image and mental health will be a key part to our day – with Leslie Magee – local mental health advocate talking to us about keeping our mental health healthy and what she finds helps to shake the bad days.”
There will be extra prizes and surprises for lucky guests on the day:
April added: “Brenda Doherty has also kindly provided us with a 1:1 makeup lesson for the Open Chair Challenge winner and one of the lucky ticket holders will win a year of FREE hair styling by Anne O’Gorman and a year of free makeup applications by myself!
“There will be a wide range of pop up shops on the day too – and lots of shopping opportunities throughout the event.
“Overall it will be a great girls day out with something for everyone.”
