It's a victorious time for ginger equality.
Years of campaigning have led to the momentous moment that redheads discovered they’re getting an emoji.
This week it was announced that 12 new redhead emojis are being launched for smartphones in 2018 – and gingers are overjoyed.
More than 20,000 people signed a petition calling for diversification from Apple, who have eventually paid heed to 2% of the world’s population.
157 new emojis are due for release this summer. It’s also a good launch for bald people, those with ‘fros and white-haired people who are not yet at the grandmother/grandfather stage.
Strangely, supervillains must have been fighting for their own expressive images too – as over 30 masked characters will be added for them.
