An unmissable 6-part documentary series celebrating the story of Irish fashion begins tonight on TG4.
The series, Snáithe, was created by Ciara Nic Chormaic and is to be hosted by fashionista Ciara O’Doherty.
Speaking to The Irish Times last weekend, Nic Chormaic says: “People overlook fashion and the significance of clothes and what they say about us as a people.”
Each of the episodes will follow a particular theme, with the first episode exploring the notion of an inherently Irish fashion identity.
Sharing the trailer on Facebook, O’Doherty says: “Snáithe (Irish for “thread”) is a 6-part documentary series tracing the story of Irish fashion through the eyes of our contemporary designers.
“It’s a project that I’m incredibly proud to be part of, and I’m so excited for you to see it!
“Presenting a TV series about Irish fashion has always been a dream for me, and I hope you can tune in on Wednesday for the first episode, so we can watch it together!”
Tune in to TG4 tonight at 8:30pm to catch the first episode. If you’re watching from abroad, you can log onto the TG4 Player.
