We find out the significance of International Women's Day among local businesswomen.
The Donegal Women in Business Network hosted a successful Start-Up Clinic & Exhibition as part of Local Enterprise Week on March 8th.
The AIB-backed event saw entrepreneurs of all careers and trades sharing and swapping business advice at a vibrant exhibition in the Station House Hotel Letterkenny.
Guests dropped in to speak to business leaders from a wide variety of sectors, including hospitality, marketing, health, enterprise support, crafts and graphic design and many more.
Whether it was a query about the first steps in business, finding supports or resetting goals, there was a businesswoman present who had been there and done that. The day was an ideal networking opportunity and a chance for women to share tips and experiences from their careers with others.
It was also a fun occasion to demonstrate the more eclectic companies established by women in Donegal!

International Women’s Day was a symbolic date for this gathering. It was also a chance to acknowledge what the day means for local women, so we asked some the Network committee members and exhibitors:
What does International Women’s Day mean to you?
