A body has been found in outside Sligo town in the search for missing woman Natalia Karaczyn.
Search teams have confirmed the finding of a body, which has not yet been formally identified, at around 10am on Tuesday morning on the Holywell Road near Carns, Sligo.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and the Garda Technical Bureau are at the scene. Gardai wish to thank the public for their assistance.
Ms Karaczyn, aged 30, had been missing from her home at Crozon Park in Sligo town since early Sunday. A nationwide appeal was made to find the Polish mother of three.
Gardai appealed for information in relation to the movements of a beige coloured Peugeot 308 estate car with the partial registration number 09 DL on Sunday morning in the Sligo area.
A 32-year-old man had been arrested at Ballymote Garda Station on Monday and released without charge early on Tuesday morning. In the wake of this morning’s discovery, it is reported that the man has been rearrested.
