Time to get planning our Eurovision final parties!
Ryan O’Shaughnessy has won Ireland a place in the Eurovision final for the first time in five years.
The Dublin singer impressed at last night’s semi-finals in Lisbon with his ballad ‘Together’.

The performance featured a moving dance routine with two young men. The same-sex love story was very well received by the audience.
Ryan was the penultimate act in the first semi-final, and the final act to be announced as a qualifier.
The 25-year-old was stunned at the announcement and jumped for joy with his supporters.
Ryan’s reaction was full of pride: “We’re so happy that other countries can understand what we’re trying to do here and make a little bit of change and let people see that love is love. I’m so happy that other people feel how we feel,” he said.
The second semi-final will be held on Thursday. Ryan will go on to perform in the grand final on Saturday 12th May.
