This week's Comedy @ Vintage night is definitely one for the ladies - and we have two tickets for a lucky reader!
Voodoo Venue Letterkenny, Donegal’s Number One comedy club, have lined up three hilarious Irish stand-up comedians in a week where a good laugh is very welcome.
This Thursday May 24th will see Dubliner Diane O’Connor headlining the show with funny tales of womanhood.
Diane is breastfeeding but she won’t let that keep her indoors! ‘Breastfeeding Alfresco (and other adventures)’ is a stand-up show about the humorous side of breastfeeding, boobs and babies.
From awkward experiences feeding alfresco to top tips like how to deal with a scone, while pondering are boobs really scary after all? Diane’s anecdotes are honest, funny and will leave you wanting more. Join her for this fun and informative stand-up comedy show inspired by breastfeeding, motherhood and related adventures!
Elaine Gallagher is a writer, director and comedian. She has performed stand up at venues across Ireland, as well as in London, New York, L.A., San Francisco, Toronto, Montréal and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has also written for RTÉ’s, The Mario Rosenstock Show. She recently performed her one woman show, “The Freedom Machine” at the Scene and Heard Festival, in Smock Alley Theatre.
Christina McMahon, Wild woman of the Mayo hinterland escaped relatively unscathed from “The Convent” having developed notions of coming to Dublin to be an actress and comedian. Blending her self deprecating sense of humour, social awkwardness and character voices; Christina gives her insight and observations about her life and her world as a Mayo immigrant in Dublin! She has been selected to perform at Electric Picnic as part of an all female comedy line up this coming September.
The show starts at 9:15 sharp and is only €5 but for a chance to win two free passes visit the Donegal Woman Facebook page and like and share the post here: https://www.facebook.com/dglwoman/
