Pack your beach bag, sunnies, SPF and sangria, because summer has arrived in Donegal.
The northwest is set to enjoy a mini heatwave of hot temperatures and dry sunny days for a full week!
True ‘exam weather’ is here to stay, with the weekly outlook forecasting scorching highs of 27 degrees Celcius on Monday, May 28th.
The good news is the west and north west will have the best of the sunshine. Thursday and Friday will be bright and sunny, with a chance of showers and thundery downpours.
Wonderful weekend weather is in store. Met Eireann say that Saturday and Sunday will be close, humid days, with a mix of warm sunshine and some cloudy periods. Temperatures will be in the low twenties at least, in many places, locally higher.
That close heat will continue through to Monday, with a likelihood of afternoon showers. Summer is here to stay for the near future, though, as Met Eireann predicts: “The trend is for mainly dry, mild or warm weather up to mid week.”
