Letterkenny couple Claire Higgins and Odhrán Grant enjoyed a superb wedding day on Friday May 25th.
This bright and beautiful day had many special moments for the families as they became one.
Pharmacy technician Claire and Tool Maker Odhrán crossed paths many times in their younger years as Odhran was a friend of Claire’s brother.
Things changed on New Year’s Eve in 2010, when Odhran walked Claire home from the Glencar Inn. The rest is history, and the romantic proposal took place in Castle Leslie in 2017.
Their little boy Daithi and girl Blaithin were among the star guests on the wedding day. Other surprises were the release of two white doves in memory of Claire’s Dad Peadar and maternal grandfather Michael.
Family moments were kept at the heart of the occasion. As Odhran’s brother Oisin was in the states, Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA was played to introduce a message from Oisin on the big screen during the speeches.
The reception in the Silver Tassie was a special party enjoyed by all. The newlyweds then jetted off on holiday to sunny Tenerife for a week of honeymooning! Browse the photo slideshow and see more in the photo gallery below.
