Samira Mighty has made a sudden decision to exit the Love Island villa, it has been revealed.
The 22-year-old dancer will appear in her last episode on the ITV dating show tonight (Thursday). Viewers will see he walking out the villa doors in an emotional send-off after long deliberations with her fellow islanders.
Samira revealed that Frankie getting voted off was the turning point that made her time in the villa unenjoyable.
“We’ve been here from the start and I finally got what I wanted and now I feel like I’m back at square one but worst. It’s unfinished business,” Samira tells Dani.
Without the confidence that she will find another match, she makes up her mind to go home.
“I’ve got to go with my gut feeling,” she says.
“I’m not saying I’m in love with Frankie or we’re going to get married tomorrow but I don’t want to waste any time, I just want to see him and I know this is the right thing to do. This opportunity was amazing and I take it with a full heart and full love.”
Tonight we’ll see Samira gathering the Islanders around the fire pit to share her news.
The Islanders are clearly gutted by her decision but are supportive in wanting her to follow her heart. After some emotional goodbyes, Samira leaves the villa to a big round of applause.
Samira will surely be missed as one of the most encouraging and supportive islanders to others. She had a tough time at the beginning while being in a ‘friendship couple’ with Dr Alex, before pairing up with Sam and finally finding her ideal match with Frankie.
“I’m really sad but it’s a good thing. I’m really happy that I’m doing this and I feel really strong,” she said.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on 3e
