Donegal student and model Neasa Bheáid has been unveiled as one of TG4's newest weather presenters. 

Neasa Bheáid (21) from Gaoth Dobhair will be one of three new faces to host the Irish channels’ daily weather bulletins.

Neasa was chosen for the role following an intensive screening process and a summer training programme. Now, we will be seeing much more of the talented gaeilgeoir in the seasons to come.

On her new role, Neasa said, “The best thing about the weather are the seasons, each season brings its own beauty. And with Irish weather we can get all 4 seasons in one day!”.

Nease is currently studying Sociology in University College Cork. She loves dance, including Ballet, and is avid supporter of the Donegal football team.

Joining Neasa in the new team are Caitríona Ní Chualáin and Orla Ní Fhinneadha, who are both from Connemara.

Neasa says her favourite weather phrase is ‘Tá sé ag doirteadh báistí’ 

Let’s hope we don’t hear that phrase too often until winter!
