The annual Petermarkathon is set to be a frightfully good fundraiser this week in Letterkenny.
Drag queen dress up, complimentary blow-drys and raffles, it’s all happening at Peter Mark this weekend!
The annual Petermarkathon fundraiser is back and coming to Peter Mark Letterkenny, Donegal from Friday 26th – Sunday 28th October 2018.
This year the Peter Mark team will be raising vital funds for the Irish Cancer Society to help support its Cancer Nurseline. This is a free helpline staffed by trained cancer nurses, to offer a listening ear and practical advice to anyone who has concerns or questions about cancer.
The Peter Mark salon in Donegal is tasked with coming up with their own unique way to raise money, so visitors to their local Peter Mark Letterkenny salon can expect drag queen dress up, complimentary blow-drys, raffles and lots of other fun events over the weekend!
Activities on the line-up in Letterkenny are:
Wednesday 24th October: Complimentary blow-drys from 6-7pm
Friday 26th October: Drag queen dress up.
All week: Raffles!
Averil Power, CEO of Irish Cancer Society said: “We are delighted to be the beneficiary of the Petermarkathon which will raise vital funds for our Cancer Nurseline service. This year over 40,000 people will get a cancer diagnosis in Ireland. That diagnosis can be frightening and overwhelming. That’s why our Cancer Nurses are available on the Freephone Cancer Nurseline to offer emotional support and advice to anyone concerned about any aspect of cancer.
“This service is reliant on donations, so we are very grateful to salons across Ireland who will participate in the Petermarkathon and ensure those facing cancer get the support they need. We wish you the best of luck with your fundraising activities and hope the event is a huge success!”
