The life of Donegal woman Kathleen Lynch will be celebrated at a special fundraising dance next Saturday, 18th May.
Kathleen Lynch (née Coyle) from St Johnston, formerly of Cranford, passed away in May 2018 at the age of 53. She is sadly missed by her husband Joe, son Colm, daughter Claire and a wide circle of family and friends.
But on Saturday 18th May, all those who loved Kathleen will come together for a memorial dance in support of the Letterkenny Oncology Unit.
Everyone is welcome to the dance in Maggie’s Tavern St Johnston, which promises to be a great night out with music, dancing and prizes.
All funds raised will go directly to the Letterkenny Oncology Unit, which offered a lot of support to Joe and his two children Colm and Claire while Kathleen was going through her cancer treatment.
“I have to thank the Oncology Unit, they were so good to us. Every day we were there, they made it feel like home,” said Kathleen’s husband Joe.
The Lynch family want to hold this dance in memory of Kathleen and to also raise funds for the Letterkenny Oncology Unit as they want other families to get the support and help they got while going through the same journey.
The Letterkenny Oncology Unit offers services to people who are going through cancer treatment and who dedicate their time to the person diagnosed.
The dance will be at nine o’clock in Maggies Tavern with music by C.R. Country. There will be spot prizes and tickets for the event are just five euro. All are welcome to enjoy this great night out.
Any sponsorship or vouchers which businesses or individuals can donate to the dance would be greatly appreciated.
This event will provide support for other local families and will also provide awareness to the Letterkenny Oncology Unit on the hard work they do and the care and support they offer families in these tough times.
