Counsellor Sarah Barr shares a simple idea to try today as we set goals for 2020.
This New Year’s Eve why not start a new tradition. Let go of any negativity that has affected you over the past year or decade! And set some new intentions for 2020.
• Letting Go
Take two small pieces of paper. On one piece of paper, write one thing you want to let go off or release. It can be a grudge, regret or a negative thought/belief.
Next fold the piece of paper and burn it. Imagine the negative feelings associated to what you have written down, disappear as the paper burns.
• Moving Forward
On the second piece of paper, write an intention or a hope for the new year.
Focus on your intention, visualise it and imagine it has already happened.
How does this make you feel?
Write down as many intentions as you want (no limit!)
Fold the pieces of paper up and store them away in a safe place. Then next New Year’s Eve, open them up and discover how many of your intentions you have achieved!
Wishing you all a year full of joy and abundance,
Take Care ~ Sarah.
