Twelve Donegal weavers and fashion and textile designers will be unveiling their latest work at Showcase - Ireland’s Creative Expo which returns to the RDS in Dublin next week.
Now in its 44th year, Showcase is one of Ireland’s largest international trade fairs.
A major event for Ireland’s design and craft sector, the exhibition will see over 2,760 retail businesses from across the world visiting to discover unique, authentic, contemporary products designed and made in Ireland.
Bogbean Designs and Molloy & Sons Donegal Tweed are making their debut at the fair this year.
Bogbean Designs is a unique collection of beanies and sweaters by knitwear designer Anna Campbell. Inspired by the hills and boglands in the remote Blue Stack Mountain range, the accessories and clothing have been designed for long walks and outdoor adventures.
The Molloy & Sons father and son team from Ardara is synonymous with what great craftsmanship is today. Built on the solid foundations of a rich heritage spanning five generations, the Molloy family have been in the textile business since James Molloy began weaving in the 19th Century.
