A Donegal dad has turned daycare into a daily film series as he passes the time with his baby daughter during the Covid-19 isolation period.
Dad Michael and daughter Gracie Brennan are entertaining thousands of people online with their funny and adorable recreations of famous Hollywood movie scenes.
Gracie is only eight months old but she is already proving to be a natural star – providing she is well-fed and well-rested before her scenes, says Micheál.
With work paused for Micheál, a wedding coordinator and wedding band member, he has enjoyed being at home and keeping Gracie entertained with their mini-filming sessions.
So far they have recorded hilarious interpretations of The Lion King, ET, Dirty Dancing, The Matrix and The Blues Brothers. The family’s pug Elvis has also joined in as an extra and as ET.
The video clips have already gained thousands of views this week and fans have begun sending in their requests.
Micheál told Donegal Daily: “It all started on Instagram as a bit of craic while we’re staying at home. The next thing I know I was getting requests from people with ideas.
“It’s nice to see people enjoying them. It takes your head out of the doom and gloom on TV for a while.”
