Donegal broadcaster Máire Bhreathnach is back on our screens tonight with a new series of ‘An Focal Scoir’ on BBCNI.
Bhreathnach, from Gortahork, will present the fourth series of the Irish language discussion show, starting this Monday at 10pm on BBC 2 NI.
This series of An Focal Scoir will analyse the economic, psychological and social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, at both a local and global level.
Máire Bhreathnach is joined each week by a panel of journalists and social commentators. Seán Ó Baoill, from Loch an Iúir in Donegal, will feature throughout the series as the roving reporter. His reports will offer analysis and views from the public on the various topics.
As Schools begin to re-open, the first episode of ‘An Focal Scoir’, will discuss how the rapid spread of Coronavirus has disrupted the life of every child throughout the world, and takes a look at what the future looks like for teachers, students and parents alike.
Máire’s broadcasting portfolio includes a weekly slot on BBC Raidio Ulster, she also presents a magazine-style show ‘I Lár an Aonaigh on BBC NI (which is going into its 9th series this autumn). Máire was also the producer on the multi-award winning feature documentary ‘Rocky Ros Muc’.
