Supermarket collections have been swapped for digital donations as the Letterkenny Lions Club launches an online Christmas appeal to local charities over the festive period.
Normally, Letterkenny Lions Club hosts an annual food appeal at Dunnes Stores and Tesco, but due to the Covid-19 restrictions, these collections cannot take place this year.
Instead, they have set up a GoFundMe which will support local charities such as Cara House, Women’s Domestic Violence Centre and We Care Food Bank.
Susan Stevenson, President of Letterkenny Lions Club says: “Please support our Christmas Appeal. Every year we receive fantastic support from the local community for our Christmas Food Appeal, but this year it cannot take place due to Covid restrictions. By donating to this appeal you can still help us support local charities.”
