A young Inishowen woman has set up a Go Fund Me appeal to help a children’s therapy service in her area.
Layla Doherty was so taken by the work of Hughie’s Corner in Carndonagh that she decided to raise funds for it.
Layla is a finalist in the Miss Donegal contest but for the past year has been working with Hughie’s Corner.
Hughie’s Corner is in memory of a little boy called Hugh Simpson Callaghan.
They provide free children’s therapy to children aged 5-18 and are completely non profit.
Layla said “There has been a massive increase in the demand for services like Hughie’s Corner due to Covid 19.
“Hughie’s Corner give a voice to our youth. I have set up a fundraiser for Hughie’s Corner to raise vital funds for therapy.
“For anybody who wants to contact them for more information. They have been incredibly supportive.”
