The Rushe to Raise Valentine’s Day 5k challenge has raised a fantastic €1,800 for the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital.
Emmet and Maria Rushe from Rushe Fitness in Letterkenny decided to show some love to the hospital at a crucial time by inviting members and friends to walk or run 5km on 14th February.
The event was the ideal opportunity for people to support and celebrate healthcare staff on the frontline of the fight against Covid-19.
Emmet and Maria proudly presented the 5K proceeds this week to Peter Cutliffe and Anne McGowan of the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital.
The Friends have provided valuable support to Letterkenny University Hospital over the past 28 years, have contributed over €7 million to promote new service developments in the hospital and currently provide free transport for people from Donegal who require radiotherapy treatment in St. Luke’s Hospital in Dublin.
