A Donegal researcher has issued a call for women to contribute real-life stories about breastfeeding for a new app.
The new app is being developed to assist women from Donegal with breastfeeding.
Anna (Foy) McPherson is originally from Inver in Co Donegal and currently living in Brisbane, Australia. She is carrying out a new study as she looks at improving the infant feeding experiences of Donegal women.
Anna explains: “As part of my study, I conducted workshops with women living in Donegal to understand what they wanted from this resource. One of the key requests for the app was to include the voices and real-life stories of Donegal women who had ANY breastfeeding experience in Donegal- the good, the bad and everything in between!
“So, I am looking for women from Donegal who would be interested in discussing their infant feeding experiences with me as part of a podcast style interview to be included in the app.
“If you are interested in taking part, please contact me: anna.mcpherson@griffithuni.edu.au and I can provide you with more information.
“Please note ethics approval for this study has been granted by Griffith University: GU 2020/54”
