A GoFundMe has been launched to help a Newtowncunningham woman after she was diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
The fund has been set up to help Olivia Robb and her family, husband Brendan Robb and their 13 year old daughter, as Olivia’s condition develops.
Originally from Sligo, Olivia has been living in Donegal for 30 years.
Friends describe her as an amazing woman who is full of compassion and bravery.- and with a cracking ‘Sligo’ humour.
Olivia’s condition has developed to the point where now she needs constant care, with major changes to how she lives her daily life.
The funds will go towards purchasing adapted transport, medical equipment, and also funding the accomodation required for the hospital visits in Dublin that she requires.
The fund was posted by local Councillor Paul Canning yesterday, and has already raised over €11,800 at time of writing, with a goal of €20,000 for the fundraiser.
