Greencastle entrepreneur Laura Bonner’s Muff Liquor Company is going Stateside after signing a distribution agreement in the US.
The deal will give Lucas Bols, a major player in the global cocktail market, exclusive rights to import and distribute the award-winning Muff Whiskey, Vodka and Gin across America.
The Inishowen-based Muff Liquor Company, founded in 2017, has a number of high-profile investors including Russell Crowe, Ed Sheeran, Ronan Keating and Jimmy Carr.
The company launched its first product in early 2018 and now has a portfolio of potato-based vodka and gin products as well as a peated Irish whiskey.
The Lucas Bols Company portfolio consists of more than 20 global brands across a range of spirits, including liqueurs, tequila, genevers, gin, ready-to-drink, and non-alcoholic spirits in the US market.

Ahead of the official launch date of October 2024, The Muff Liquor Company will open a Brand Home and distillery in Muff this summer. The Lucas Bols Company and the executive team of The Muff Liquor Company have started working on a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to establish and distribute the brand in the US, also leveraging the involvement of its celebrity investors and brand founder Laura.
