Greencastle businesswoman Laura Bonnar has been awarded the title of Global Irish Business Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 by the All-Ireland Business Foundation.

The Muff Liquor Company CEO has been on a wave of success following a star-studded Brand Home launch and an imminent launch in the US.

Speaking on her award, Laura said she was truly honoured: “This recognition means a lot to me and I am grateful for the support of my team and partners.

“Thank you for believing in my vision and helping me achieve this prestigious award.”

The Muff Liquor Company received initial accreditation from the All-Ireland Business Foundation in 2018 following three rounds of auditing which proved their performance, trust and customer-centricity.

The prestigious title comes just a fortnight after Bonner welcomed a host of A-list investors to Muff for the launch of the new Muff Liquor Company Brand Home.

Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe, Boyzone legend Ronan Keating and presenter Ryan Tubridy visited Donegal to toast to the new visitor centre for the Irish craft gin, whiskey and vodka company.

The ‘Muff Men’ investors, as they call themselves, also include comedian Jimmy Carr and popstar Ed Sheeran.

The company also announced an initial order for 30,000 cases of spirits for the US market from its new distributor in the US, The Lucas Bols Company.
